Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Lafayette has been chosen to receive a grant from the Indiana Youth Institute (IYI) to attend a training to boost the healthy development of children.

Big Brothers Big Sisters was chosen to receive a $750 Professional Development Grant to attend the 2017 Big Brothers Big Sisters of America National Conference in San Diego, California. While there, Executive Director Chris Hannon will learn about updated best practices for leading youth mentoring programs.

“I’m very excited about the opportunity to bring back new resources and research-backed best practices for working with young people who are facing adversity. I’m eager to apply what is learned to enhance the experiences and outcomes of the children and young people in our mentoring programs today,” said Chris Hannon, Executive Director.
